Can we specify authentication method for the postgres connection such as scram-sha-256 ?

I wish to know if there is a way to specify the authentication method using any configuration within the newly created Pool object which lets me set the authentication method for a postgres connection. Can we change contents of pg_hba.conf ?

Oh hi, I just happened to flip by this bug report. I'm using scram-sha-256 with Pools.. I setup postgresql.conf and pg_hba.conf and it worked for me.
