• Caltrans metadata updates...new documentation standards
  • Swap out edition, which is numeric, for analysis_date.
  • Fix keywords/tags not populating correctly....it's 1 dictionary with unpacked string of keywords, not dictionary with 5 pairs of keywords
  • Must include boilerplate use limitation. Use the example boilerplate Creative Commons license + Caltrans GIS boilerplate.
  • Contact info is one section populated in 2 places. Clean up ours so that Caltrans + staff do not show up as 2 separate contact sections.
  • renaming columns...separate out into several dictionaries, since the same column names might be used across our 6 datasets....don't want to accidentally rename something we don't want to
• Research Request - speeds by stop segments published to open data #761 get speeds by segments metadata approved in this pass. also update metadata for hqta/traffic ops tables
• Research Request - New speed tables: trip average speeds and average route speeds by time-of-day #790 include route speeds metadata too...associate common_shape_id to make it geospatial. having just tabular is confusing for users to figure out how to associate geometry because of our heavy internal modeling.
• submit open data portal request for 2 new speeds datasets 7/7/23. June update for other 4 datasets went through already.
