add link to long polling activation

Description

Add a link to find more details how to set up long polling. As it is handled with the request-timeout parameter, this is not obvious.

@christinaausley, I'm not sure about backporting to released versions.

The fact is available since the beginning, I can't estimate the effort of backporting, as I did the editing directly on GitHub.
