@mattkae mattkae changed the title Dialogs win32 Implement dialog windows for the win32 platform Sep 30, 2025
…r#176202)

## What's new?
- 🍏 Added the concept of dialogs to the windowing API. New
symbols:
   - `DialogWindowControllerDelegate`
   - `DialogWindowController`
   - `WindowingOwner.createDialogWindowController`
   - `DialogWindow`
   - `WindowControllerCommon`
- 🥘 Introduced the `WindowControllerCommon` mixin to
share common windowing functionality between controller types
- I have NOT yet implemented dialogs. This pull request ONLY adds the
idea to the API. Win32 implementation to follow :)

…+ inputmode="email" (flutter#175876)

**What/Why**
On Flutter Web with semantics enabled, <input type="email"> can reject
selection APIs in some browsers, causing:
cursor to not advance while typing,
selection to fail (and selected text not deletable),
and, in some cases, InvalidStateError exceptions.
This PR updates the semantics editing element for email fields to keep
selection/cursor APIs working while preserving email UX.

**How**
In
engine/src/flutter/lib/web_ui/lib/src/engine/semantics/text_field.dart:
Use type="text" for SemanticsInputType.email
Add inputmode="email" (keeps email keyboard layout/hints)
Add autocomplete="email" (preserves autofill)
Add autocapitalize="none" (prevents unwanted capitalization)
Remove the attributes when not email
Rationale: type="text" avoids browser selection restrictions;
inputmode="email" preserves the expected email keyboard; autofill and
capitalization behavior is retained/optimized.

**Before/After**
Before the change
https://email-0923-before.web.app/
After the change
https://email-0923.web.app/

**Impact**
Cursor now advances correctly while typing in email fields under
semantics.
Text can be selected and deleted normally.
Avoids InvalidStateError crashes with accessibility semantics enabled.

**Tests/Verification**
Manually verified on Chrome and safari:
Typing in email fields advances cursor correctly
Drag-select, double-click select, and Cmd/Ctrl+A work
Deleting selected text works
No exceptions thrown with semantics enabled
Autofill prompts continue to appear when saved emails are available.
Mobile keyboards (iOS/Android) show email-optimized layout via
inputmode="email".

**Fixed issues**
Fixes flutter#173239

…flutter#176218)

With the assumption that IDEs will not create a debug session for the
widget previewer, the widget inspector's source navigation functionality
won't function as there's no IDE to listen to `navigate` events sent via
`postEvent`.

This change overrides some widget inspector behavior to allow for
navigating to source locations via the DTD Editor service instead of
relying on the VM service's `postEvent`.

This change also makes some minor changes to the diagnostic properties
and descriptions displayed within the inspector to display group and
custom preview annotation details.

When embedding Flutter in a SwiftUI app, it appears that SwiftUI wraps
the scene delegate given by the developer in an internal class called
`SwiftUI.AppSceneDelegate`. This causes the scene delegate to fail to
check if it conforms to the `FlutterSceneLifeCycleProvider` protocol -
even though it does. However, after force casting it, selectors respond
and can be used.

## Description

This PR fixes an assertion triggered when accessing `RenderBox.size`
during baseline computation.
See

for context.

## Tests

- Adds 1 test
Updating AccessibilityBridge.java and AccessibilityBridgeTest.java to
include `AccessibilityNodeInfo.CollectionItemInfo` to get TalkBack to
announce item indexes for ListViews.

- Updated the logic for adding CollectionInfo to add when the
scrollChildren count is greater than 1. This is an attempt to exclude
something like a SingleChildScrollView from getting CollectionInfo
added. The only semantics info we can rely on from Android is the
hasImplicitScrolling and the number of scrollChildren.
- Added logic for adding the CollectionItemInfo to ListView children. It
first checks to see if the parent node qualifies for CollectionInfo and
then adds the CollectionItemInfo to the child view. The index values
come from the `childrenInTraversalOrder`. We aren't currently passing
the indexedSemantics into the SemanticsNode. Once those values are
available, this can be made more robust.

indexedSemantics to the SemanticsNode in Android and build the list with
those values.

`android_engine_vulkan_tests` will dogfood the

…rovider (flutter#175038)

### Description
This PR adds `==` and `hashCode` implementations to
**`ScrollAwareImageProvider`**.

According to the [`ImageProvider`
documentation](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/painting/ImageProvider-class.html):

> It should be immutable and implement the
[==](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/painting/dart-core/Object/operator_equals.html)
operator and the
[hashCode](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/painting/dart-core/Object/hashCode.html)
getter.

`ScrollAwareImageProvider` did not previously override these, which
could result in instances with identical configuration being treated as
unequal. This behavior can negatively impact image caching and equality
checks.

With this change, `ScrollAwareImageProvider` now conforms to the
`ImageProvider` contract.

… resumes (flutter#175937)

Refactors `FlutterRenderer` callback on app resume to restore its
`ImageReaderSurfaceProducer`s to a public API that Flutter activities
and fragments can call themselves `onResume` to fix a memory leak caused
by a potentially infinite number of callbacks being created as new
instances of the `FlutterEngine` are created.

Fixes flutter#173770. Directly follows
the @/jason-simmons recommendation in
flutter#173770 (comment).

…lutter#172997)

This PR changes the default value of
`RawAutocomplete.optionsViewOpenDirection` from
`OptionsViewOpenDirection.down` to `OptionsViewOpenDirection.mostSpace`.

When `optionsViewOpenDirection` is set to `mostSpace`, the options view
will open in the direction with the most available space. This behavior
is determined by comparing the space above and below the text field.

The commit also updates the logic for calculating `optionsViewMaxHeight`
and `originY` to handle the new `mostSpace` option, and ensures that the
`switch` statement for `alignment` correctly handles this new case.
