Smartpost is a Chrome extension that helps you create better tweets. With just one click, it suggests an improved version of your tweet while keeping your original message intact.

Here's how to set up and use Smartpost to enhance your tweets.

Install Smartpost from the Chrome Web Store

Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension

Click the Smartpost icon in your browser's extension toolbar and select "Settings"

In Settings, click "LLM Provider" and follow these steps:
- Click "OpenAI Configure"
- Get your API key from OpenAI Platform
- Enter your API key and click Save

Go back to "General" settings and select your saved provider in the "LLM Model Provider" dropdown

(Optional) Customize your tools:
- Go to the "Tools" section
- Click the "+" icon in the top right to add a new tool
- Enter a name for your tool
- Write your custom prompt (use {post} to reference the current tweet content)
- Save your changes

Refresh your Twitter/X page to activate the changes
Once configured, you'll see the Smartpost button near the tweet compose box. Click it to get an AI-enhanced version of your tweet.
