Splat Cleanup

Overview

Splat Cleanup is relatively difficult to do in a time effective manner. Here are listed some of the things that do work, though often they take too much time to make sense.

Blender

Blender is relatively difficult to use for working with splats, but offers a few advantages. It does not offer suoort for splats natively, instead we use the Gaussian Splatting Blender Addon. It needs a previous Blender version and is installed by placing it in the Addon folder. Blender offers some advantages though:

Advantages:

• Can move around splats in blender
• Can combine splats in blender
• Can get very granular and exact

Disadvantages:

• Bad performance
• Difficult to use
• Plugin not updated frequently

Supersplat

Supersplat is the lightweight web-editor for splats. It's web-version is here and it's repository for local install here.

Advantages:

• Can split Splats
• Browser based
• Very good performance
• Easy to use
• Filters for selection
• Open Source
