UShim

This repository contains a MATLAB implementation to load channel-wise in vivo B1+ datasets of the human cervical and thoracolumbar spine at 7T and to compute and evaluate universal RF shims as described in [1]. The channel-wise in vivo B1+ datasets of the human body at 7T are available at: https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.25233385.v1.

Usage

Run script main.m: This script takes the user through the universal shim pulse design and shim prediction

Contents

Test scripts (run these):
main.m test script to compute and evaluate tailored and universal pulses at 7T
Routines called by the test scripts:
b1_phase_shimming_TXfct.m computes the b1+ phase shim
caller_name.m returns name (and line) of calling routine or file, or name further up or down the stack by changing level.
catstruct.m concatenates or merges structures with different fieldnames
cmocean.m returns perceptually-uniform colormaps, created by Kristen Thyng
makeColVec.m makes a column vector of the input vector
montager.m makes montage or mosaic of set of images, created by Jeff Fessler
multiprod.m multiplying 1-D or 2-D subarrays contained in two N-D arrays, created by Paolo de Leva
parseVariableInputs.m pareses input variables
quantify_phase_shim_TXfct.m	quantifies the coefficient of variation and the efficiency for phase shimming
rot90m.m rotates a matrix by 90 deg
rot180.m rotates a matrix by 180 deg
rot270.m rotates a matrix by 270 deg
show_shim_prediction_TXfct.m	plots the shim prediction based on the shimset
show3dWithMaskm.m plots all slices of a 3D or 4D matrix
vararg_pair.m processes name / value pairs, replacing the "default" field values of the opt structure with the user-specified values, created by Jeff Fessler
