I want to create a website similar to storycorps, where people can tell their own life stories. As a millennial born in China, I felt my country has evolved greatly over the past 20 years, and for some reason I felt obligated to record these changes, possibly through the way I'm most familiar with - internet technologies. From 20 years ago, going abroad and study in a US college/university was only for the top talents or kids from super rich family, but it has been changed a lot in recent years. Chinese are getting involved in global business, education, policy making and a lot more areas. I would like to hear what people's own stories are, and use that as a mirror to show the world how we have evovled.
自从看了电视剧一年又一年，我就萌生了一个强烈的想法－我想有一种方式能够记录下中国在1998年到2018年20年间所发生的所有的变化。1978到1998的20年，中国经历了改革开放到第一批非公派出国留学生的转变，这是非常巨大的变化。作为80后的尾巴，我感觉自己的祖国在1998到2018这20年更是经历了翻天覆地的变化。随着出国旅游，私家轿车的普及，我们在踏入物质生活富足的道路上行走了很远。那么如果能让大家都讲出自己的小故事，我们是不是可以看出小人物故事后的大时代背景？我就是想开发这样一个网站应用，能够让人们通过文字的方式，记录下来他们近20年生活中发生各种故事。这些故事将是我们民族的一笔宝贵财富。
