I have tested this PR and I can confirm that this fix when applied fixes the plugin on Webpack 5. |

We've been using a fork with this fix applied in production with Webpack 5 without issue as well. It would be nice if it was merge into the main branch instead of having to maintain another fork. |

This project seems abandoned, I would direct you to prerender-spa-plugin-next (My fork for webpack 5 only, a few API changes but mostly backward compatible) |
