Welcome to the revolve-models wiki!
- Blender
- Replicatorg (v 0040)
- Open the
blend
file you want to modify (in blend folder) and make your modifications - export your model as
stl
. If you are editing ablend
file with multiple printable objects inside, remember to select the object you want to export and when exporting select the options "selected only" to export only the selected section of the blender scene. Exported file goes in stl folder. - open the stl file with replicatorg, make your adjustments (rotation and position) and save it again. This will change the stl file.
- generate gcode (big button in the replicatorg interface). Here is the section where you customize your print settings. Speed, support material, infill percentage, nozzle selection and temperatures, and so on. For parameter adjustment see in Printing-parameters. The file will be created in the same folder as the stl file. Remember to move the file in the gcode folder.
- keeping replicatorg open, a new option is now available: "build to file for use with SD card". Select the x3g folder of the project. Select the
x3g
format, not thes3g
. Extension at the end of the filename is added automatically.
You are now ready to print. Remember to commit if you like your changes.
Take the x3g
file of the model you want to print. Copy it in the SD card. Rename it with a shorter name if is too long: the 3D printer will not show files with names too big.
Now safely eject the SD card from your PC and insert it into the 3D printer. Select print from SD and then select your file. Press OK and wait until is ready (from 30 minutes to 2 hours or even more, depending on the model).
