today is the first day I have ever downloaded this app so I have the latest of 5.6.2 and 5.6.3. I originally installed KP3 using the default path, ran KCC and got the error, tried 5.6.3 same error, then to troubleshoot tried putting KCC in the directory of KP3. I then uninstalled KP3 and re-installed it to the same directory that KCC was in, still got error on both versions. It only started working when I found the .exe and copied it to the directory KCC was in. I'm using windows 10 |
well I just tested it again after re-installing KP3 and moving the .exe somewhere else and 5.6.3 worked this time |
So you downloaded v5.6.2 first, that was the main issue. We've now finalized v5.6.3 so it will show up first |
I downloaded and installed KP3 as per the wiki installation instructions, and put KCC in the same directory as the app folder, ran kcc as admin and kept getting error that kindlegen not found. I put kcc in the KP3 install folder and ran as admin and it still did not detect kindlegen. I poked around in KP3 installation folder until I found kindlegen and copied it to same directory as kcc and then it worked. Wiki or app needs to be updated to make this statement in the wiki true.
