Context
Some years ago, for Paketo's PHP Dist, we encountered the challenge of parsing the PHP release information from upstream. To address this, I developed a solution that involved creating a repository mimicking the behavior of Depwatcher. This repository facilitates general fetches to obtain branches (e.g., 8, 7, 6) and specific fetches for a particular branch (e.g., 8.x, 7.x).
In the context-sharing process that I'm working on, moving the functionalities from my persona account to this CI repo ensures that everyone on the team has access to and can contribute to modifying or updating the logic as needed. You can find the original repository here.
