The selected candidate for this proposal would go through the CNCF TechDocs analysis process and, as a stretch goal (if there's time), would write updates to the documentation based on the findings and implementation suggestions made.

I assume Nate is good with this proposal with a co-mentor to be named later on, as he's in this project.

However, I think the project description is too generic. Upstream issue references a JIRA ticket, which is not public.

What's the work required here? Assessing the docs for TUF? Is there a framework that a mentee candidate can take a look and evaluate if they can do the work?

The CNCF's documentation team has a process which they went through for in-toto resulting in this assessment. Once this happens, we also want to fix up the problems raised through this process. Nate is OOO currently, but indicated they want to do the same process for TUF, which we are happy to support.
