[Incubating PROJECT ONBOARDING] Dapr #228
Comments
@msfussell, @yaron2 - we'll be tracking work in here! |
@amye - Perfect. We have started on this list. Do you want us to check the boxes above as they are completed to track the work? Also I presume it is fine to put comments to clarify the work in this issue. Is that the expectation? |
Comments very welcome! If you have your owners file (and project maintainer emails) handy, that would be a big help! |
@amye - updating that I've added Chris and The Linux Foundation as org owners. |
Marking off maintainers emails and github transfer, thank you! |
@yaron2, @msfussell: Checking in again, we'd like to get all project onboarding closed out by December 15th. Thanks! |
The following can be checked-off so far
|
A new version of dapr.io has been deployed and includes changes to accommodate the website guidelines (adding CNCF logo and footer for LF) so the following can be checked:
|
Google Analytics has been shared |
Splendid, this is good progress! |
Artwork has been submitted and merged in https://github.com/cncf/artwork |
Done! |
Create maintainer list + add to aggregated https://maintainers.cncf.io list by submitting a PR to it |
DevStats page added. |
If I'm not mistaken, looks like this was already done as a part of cncf/landscape#2346 |
And so it was! |
I do not... |
@amye - Can you check off this |
@amye the CII: Start on a CII best practices badge has been added to the Dapr repo: https://github.com/dapr/dapr |
@amye - I have created cncf/contribute#88 that I believe will fulfill this task: |
@amye - can you please check off this task as well: |
@amye, can you please check off - "Understand the trademark guidelines: https://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/trademark-usage/" I've have thoroughly read the guidelines and understand trademark usage. |
We're always here if you have questions :) |
@msfussell and team - anything we can help with the remaining items? :) |
@idvoretskyi -We are meeting to determine outstanding issues and will post an update |
@msfussell great, thanks! |
@amye @idvoretskyi - You can now sign-off on these two items
|
@msfussell done! |
@amye @idvoretskyi I'm working on the CNCF Trademark Agreement Form (with no registered trademarks) with our legal team and they are wondering if there is an editable copy of that form so that we may explicitly enumerate which assets, accounts, and domains will be transferred over. Is this something that's available? |
Drop me an email at amye@linuxfoundation.org and I can get one to you! |
I see that the Dapr logos have been placed in Sandbox and not the Incubating projects here. "Artwork: Submit a pull request to https://github.com/cncf/artwork with your artwork." This needs to be fixed with a PR. |
Easily fixable. :) cncf/artwork#319 resolves. |
@amye, I believe the transferring of domains task is now complete. According to the ZenDesk ticket: "Both domains have been transferred over successfully. Your request status changed to Resolved with resolution Done." |
Also, "GitHub: ensure DCO or CLA are enabled for all GitHub repositories of the project" is complete. DCO checks have been added to all incoming contributions for every repo in the Dapr project. |
Great! |
@yaron2 @msfussell please feel free to add your input. I'm happy to just continue with what we use now - zoom and discord. |
@amye @idvoretskyi - Is it necessary to have the DCO check enabled on the Dapr Docs repo? We're finding it challenging to enforce this requirement and a few contributors questioned the need for this (from a docs perspective). |
Deferring to @idvoretskyi on this! |
correct DCO should be enabled for all repos

@greenie-msft yes, either DCO or CLA are mandatory, please see https://github.com/cncf/foundation/blob/master/charter.md#11-ip-policy |
Thanks for clarifying @idvoretskyi. @amye, I believe "Trademarks: transfer any trademark and logo mark assets over to the LF" has been completed. Can you please confirm? At this point, It looks like all onboarding tasks have been completed. Is there anything outstanding? |
