Playlist: Up next: off, shouldn't jump to the next video? #1198
Comments
wwelcoome @f35f0ef9d0e827dae86552d3899f78fc But only when you search 'autopl..', then you see all the different options at once: I.e.
Part of our users will go through every option for once. The average time spent when opening the extension menu is ~6 minutes. Which means new users really spend some time to set it up initially. (Since long-term users decrease the average a lot through just changing a single switch.) |
All of the auto play options are already disabled. The issue is that when you're watching a video from a playlist, the next video on the list loads automatically. It does not start playing, it just loads. It takes you away from the previous video. |
Hi @f35f0ef9d0e827dae86552d3899f78fc , |
Confirmed on both Firefox and Chrome |
Fixed with #1436 |
Bug Report:
⚬ BUG: Even when Playlist > 'Up next autoplay' is disabled, YouTube automatically loads the next video after the current one finishes. This behavior is not intuitive I think. When the video reaches the end and finishes, you should remain on that video's page so you can browse comments, share it, give it a thumbs-up, etc.
⚬ EXPECTED (/preferred) behavior: I expect that if 'Up next autoplay' is disabled, then the next video would not load until I click on it in the list.
Setup:
⚬ ImprovedTube Version: 3.922
⚬ Browser: Firefox
⚬ OS: Arch Linux
