Not working with windows 10 x64

Hi, after install this plugin and change the transparency value, nothing is updated and also the value is not updated in the menu.

For me, it doesn't provide any transparency. Windows 10 1709. Adjusting the alpha changes the color shade but there is no transparency.

No luck trying the #13 fix. Still get the same prompt.

I'll try go get some time to test on Windows.

Spend some hours trying to setup a dev environment on Windows and got frustrated before being able to make it run.
If someone can help investigating on Windows that will be appreciated.
