'main' branch not showing up in settings

I want to select main branch as default branch in settings.
But, I can't find the main branch from the list.

This is usually due to no uploads from that branch. Do we know if the branch exists in the DB, @katia-sentry ?

If this doesn't exist due to no uploads, we should probably better handle that use case. Could also potentially be a bug based on the user's report since it seems like there's an expectation that there should be a commit.

If this is not a bug, but is instead some more fundamental problem, we can kick this over to @codecovdesign if any design work is needed (essentially making this a feature request).

• problem: the default branch isn't making it to the UI
  • next steps: we will make the update change default from master to main, then have a follow up audit to confirm this resolved the issue
