Prerequisites to run qss

• You need .net8 installed on your computer (Download from Microsoft)
• qss is a simple command line utility, made for scripting your database objects. There's no UI, there's no installer.
• Just put the qss.exe in any folder, where your PATH variable points to (when you are a developer, you will likely already have some kind of "Tools" folder in place on your machine)
• qss is a standalone exe, it is really just this one single file
• It's completely offline, no hidden communications, no "phone home"

Documentation

When you launch qss in your terminal application without any arguments, it will print a detailled help information on the screen.

However, there are more detailled informations available in this wiki, make sure you take a look.
