It is very likely that the current package version for this feedstock is out of date.

Dependency Analysis

Please note that this analysis is highly experimental. The aim here is to make maintenance easier by inspecting the package's dependencies. Importantly this analysis does not support optional dependencies, please double check those before making changes. If you do not want hinting of this kind ever please add bot: inspection: false to your conda-forge.yml. If you encounter issues with this feature please ping the bot team conda-forge/bot.

Analysis by source code inspection shows a discrepancy between it and the the package's stated requirements in the meta.yaml.

Packages found in the meta.yaml but not found by source code inspection:

  • boost

Hi! This is the friendly automated conda-forge-linting service.

I just wanted to let you know that I linted all conda-recipes in your PR (recipe) and found it was in an excellent condition.

This failure doesn't seem to have anything to do with the new release; I can recreate it with the previous version of python-casacore now. The logs complain about not finding Boost and Casacore, but those libraries are also unchanged from the previous build. What has changed that might be relevant, though, is a bump of pip from 22.1 to 22.2, and setuptools from 63.1 to 63.2.

The problem is pypa/distutils#164, which was fixed two days ago. This should be fixed in setuputils 63.4.1, which was released yesterday.

There might be an issue because the setup.py script here imports from distutils, which seems to be picking up the shimmed setuptools._distutils for the most part ... but maybe if the pieces don't mesh right, we'll need to patch setup.py to make sure we're getting fixed code. But UnixCCompiler.find_library_file in stock distutils shouldn't have this problem, so I think we're OK.

Anyway, this problem should resolve itself whenever the setuptools package is updated, which will probably be pretty soon.

@conda-forge-admin please restart CI

Setuptools is updated so this should hopefully work now.
