This is a Kernel Rebuild request, currently the code for this is internal to CIQ, however over the next quarter we do plan to make it publically available.

General Process:

Contains the following: http://dl.rockylinux.org/vault/rocky/9.5/BaseOS/source/tree/Packages/k/

Just did a quick spot check of a handful of these 'changes not in upstream' and they are actually in upstream but are very new. Maybe you needed to do a fetch of the latest upstream first? I don't know that we care that much either

See my comment above about the missing upstream commits in the rebuild process. I don't know if that is a blocker or not since we'll still end up with the same code.

Good catch ... yes i didn't do a fetch but I think its because I have a caching mechanism for this process so I don't need to recreate all of the structure for the 5.14..MASTER:HEAD
I deteled the cache, fetching and rerunning th build

Let me run another compile check before I re-approve. Thanks Brett and Maple!

:table flip:

I keep forgetting that when you do rebase and merge like we did for this: #30 will cause a rewrite of the the sha so if you branched say rocky9_5_rebuild off of the local version you'll have divergent git histories.

So I ended up after a buch of git screaming about how I can't do --ff-only I deleted the local rocky9_5 and rechecked it out, did a rebase of rocky9_5_rebuidl and then a git merge --ff-only rocky9_5_rebuild onto rocky9_5 and push to origin

This was a mistake because now this PR has differnt SHAs due to the rebase, so now I have a bypass violation and this PR doesn't match up.

@github really needs to fix this (we don't support --ff-only merging) I still cannot believe that both bitbucket and gitlab support this but github can't seem to figure this one out. /rant

[ Upstream commit f09af5f ]

When qstats-get operation is executed, callbacks of netdev_stats_ops
are called. The bnxt_get_queue_stats{rx | tx} collect per-queue stats
from sw_stats in the rings.
But {rx | tx | cp}_ring are allocated when the interface is up.
So, these rings are not allocated when the interface is down.

The qstats-get is allowed even if the interface is down. However,
the bnxt_get_queue_stats{rx | tx}() accesses cp_ring and tx_ring
without null check.
So, it needs to avoid accessing rings if the interface is down.

Reproducer:
 ip link set $interface down
 ./cli.py --spec netdev.yaml --dump qstats-get
OR
 ip link set $interface down
 python ./stats.py

…of ftrace_return_to_handler

Naresh Kamboju reported a "Bad frame pointer" kernel warning while
running LTP trace ftrace_stress_test.sh in riscv. We can reproduce the
same issue with the following command:

```
$ cd /sys/kernel/debug/tracing
$ echo 'f:myprobe do_nanosleep%return args1=$retval' > dynamic_events
$ echo 1 > events/fprobes/enable
$ echo 1 > tracing_on
$ sleep 1
```

And we can get the following kernel warning:

The reason is that the stack layout for constructing argument for the
ftrace_return_to_handler in the return_to_handler does not match the
__arch_ftrace_regs structure of riscv, leading to unexpected results.

ACPICA commit 1c28da2242783579d59767617121035dafba18c3

This was originally done in NetBSD:
NetBSD/src@b69d1ac
and is the correct alternative to the smattering of `memcpy`s I
previously contributed to this repository.

This also sidesteps the newly strict checks added in UBSAN:
llvm/llvm-project@7926744

Before this change we see the following UBSAN stack trace in Fuchsia:

ACPICA commit 1c28da2242783579d59767617121035dafba18c3

This was originally done in NetBSD:
NetBSD/src@b69d1ac
and is the correct alternative to the smattering of `memcpy`s I
previously contributed to this repository.

This also sidesteps the newly strict checks added in UBSAN:
llvm/llvm-project@7926744

Before this change we see the following UBSAN stack trace in Fuchsia:
