Starting from Add logit as a YAxis scale #3652 we figured out that having a logit scale in d3-scale would be useful.
A logit function operates on a domain of (0,1) and it's particularly suitable to enhance numbers close to the domain's extremes.
Here there is the same scale implemented in matplotlib, which I took as a reference.

Hi, I'd like to know if this feature could be useful for the library and, if so, if there is any plan to integrate it. I'll look forward to any improvement ideas @Fil @mbostock
