Welcome to SD Maid 2/SE! Follow these simple steps to get started:
- Download and install SD Maid 2/SE.
- Open the app, and you’ll be guided through an initial setup process.
- Grant the required permissions such as storage access so SD Maid can scan and work on your device.
- Complete any additional setup steps like enabling optional features based on your preferences (e.g., accessibility service, scheduling options).
- Once setup is complete, tap Quick Access on the main screen to start a system-wide scan.
- SD Maid will scan your device for junk files, leftover app data, system caches, and other unnecessary files.
-
After the scan, SD Maid will categorize the findings:
- AppCleaner: Finds cached and residual app files.
- CorpseFinder: Detects files from uninstalled apps.
- SystemCleaner: Identifies system files that can be removed.
Tap on each section to review the details, and exclude any files you wish to keep.
- Once you’ve reviewed the results, tap the Delete button to remove the detected junk.
- To automate regular scans, use the Scheduler.
- Tap the + icon to create a schedule, selecting which tools (AppCleaner, SystemCleaner, etc.) to run at regular intervals.
Now you're all set! By completing the setup and following these steps, you can easily maintain a tidy device using SD Maid 2/SE.
