I was having issues with creating a wingpanel entry for Elementary OS (Loki).
To resolve this I had to place extra details into the .desktop file and also change how the icon image was referenced.
To get the icon to work I copied dropbox for Elementary's method which means having multiple trello.png files of various resolutions in
~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/.The copying of the icons could be undertaken by calling some setup script but for the time being, I have suggested how one might do it in the Readme.md
