On this solstice day ☀️, we feel it is a great time to prepare another release of Ethora engine.
Coincidentally, today our repo has reached 100 stars ⭐. Yay and thank you all for your support!
Another important update is that Ethora has made it through a rigorous selection into a final cohort of AWS B2B SaaS Accelerator.
This means our backend infrastructure will get better through the training and support we receive from AWS experts, at the same time we are preparing to make our server more easily available for B2B customers through a self-install AWS Marketplace option.
That said, we remain devoted to the open-source Linux stack - so remain assured our server-side infrastructure will remain 'cloud agnostic' i.e. can be hosted on any standard Linux-based server.
By default, of course, our users enjoy our Ethora (aka Dappros Platform) Cloud infrastructure and its generous Free Tier, so the above is only relevant for you if your project specific or regulatory environment requires self hosting. We fully support both Cloud and self-hosted options so this is an important highlight of the current release.
Another super important update is the App Builder UI!
App Builder now allows you to:
- Easily customize your App appearance which is applied to your Web application immediately
- Automatically generate the React Native build for your iOS and Android mobile app!
The code generated is already customized with your app name, logo, colours and other specifics.
This drastically reduces the time it takes for you to build your first MVP and demo or ship it to your friends, family, investors, customers and users.
You can do the above without having to dive into code now, however getting your hands dirty and customizing or extending the engine with your own features is by all means encouraged.
The name of the today's release is inspired by:
(1) Kupala Night 🌿 , a tradition in Ukraine and many other countries where the longest day and Sun are celebrated. Read more about Kupala Night here,
and of course the
(2) International Yoga Day ☯️. The yogis worldwide celebrate the solstice day too and some of them manage to achieve the fit of 108 Sun salutations. Sun salutation (surya namaskar) is a fantastic yoga practice available for everyone. You can do it on daily basis and it is very beneficial for your health, mind and spirit. There are many other changes and improvements to the Ethora engine mainly focused around stability and UX improvements. We have added some important features and extensions such as you can now easily add a ChatGPT bot, a translation bot and other things into your projects. Our chat and push notifications infrastructure by DeepX RTC has been further improved. Some of the changes are listed below.
