Fixed the design based on the wireframes and added a new component for the dropdown menu.
I used another library for the react part of monaco editor, i used monaco-react instead of react-monaco-editor, simply because monaco-react allow us to use the monaco editor without needing to use webpack (or rollup/parcel/etc) configuration files / plugins. Let me know if this is an issue, if it is i'll change it back to the library we originally discussed.
