Describe the bug

Please describe the bug in detail to help me understand the scenario

Hi derekhe:
I spend several hours today and have some new findings:
I found this mod is partially working on my MSFS2024.

(1) It shows google map properly in some area , such as Grand Teton National park https://www.google.com/maps/@43.726589,-110.6981499,21554m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!7m1!2e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTExOS4yIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

But there are two marks (red circled in the 1st attached image) is still visible even though the image in google does not have them. Also, in MSFS2020 I don't see them when using this mod with google image.

(2) For some area, such as Yellowstone Nation park https://www.google.com/maps/@44.2878258,-110.4903414,85406m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!7m1!2e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTExOS4yIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
This mod does not work at all (no google image, only the default bing map).

(3) Also in the area of east San Jose, California https://www.google.com/maps/@37.4000779,-121.8534956,1245m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTExOS4yIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
It shows a very blurred image (most likely bing map) on top of the google image. See the 2nd attached image.

Here is my setting on this mod (see attached image #3 and #4):
1.MS Store is selected
2.MSFS2024 is selected
3."Delete MSFS2024's rolling cache when start" is selected
4. "Enable High LOD" is NOT selected.

Would you please check those locations and see if my observation can be repeated. Thanks!

By the way, how do I tune the color to extreme. I think the color function is disabled for Free version, right?

What I see is the photogrammetry data is there. You can turn off the photogrammetry then you can see the maps. In some areas, like the very beautiful parks, MS provide you with mesh models, which also covers the satellite images. We can't turn this off.

(1) For Grand Teton Area, I got google image but how about those two marks red circled? I don't see them in googe map and why they are there with google images impoted by your mod?
(2) For Yellowstone area, I agree that MSFS2024 may use some 3D mesh model, which may cover all the satellite images under it.
(3) For San Jose, California area, the area in the screenshot is not covered by photogrammetry. So, why some low resolution image is displayed on top of google image???

  1. The red circle ones are the "patches" asobo made to avoid clouds or other bad satellite images. Please upgrade to latest version and you will see they have been removed:

Hi derekhe:
Thanks a lot for your reply. I think now I understand this mod much more and know what it can do and what it can not. Here are my more questions regarding to this mod:
(1) The google (free or pro) image, imported from this mod to msfs2024, seems much brighter and more saturate compared with that of msfs2020. Does it caused by the nature of msfs2024 (which may add an addtional image process on the imported image) or something can be corrected by this mod. I have tried use the mod's builld-in color adjustments but still not as good as what in msfs2020.
(2) Regarding to the PG (photogrammetry) or 3D Vexcel area, flying inside those area is perfactly fine. I can see the PG or 3D Vexcel image the same as they are in msfs2020. But when you fly near the border of those area, you see a blurred (very blur) area along with the borders. It is really annoying. I don't see this blurred area in msfs2020. You can easily reproduce what I'm talking about if you fly around the boders of any PG/3D Vexcel areas, such as Yellowstone or San Francisco Bay area. I hope you can do something in your mod to resolve this problem.

Thanks a lot.

One more thing: It seems I need to manually delet the rollingcache.ccc file in order to make this mod work properly. I have selected "delet msfs2024's rolling cache when start" button, but it seems nothing happened on the rollingcach.ccc file. It's still there when the "start" button is clicked. I'm not sure this is caused by msfs2024 or not since msfs2024 don't have a delet button fo r rolling cache file. Would you please have a look and see if you can fix this problem or not. Thanks a lot.

Hi derekhe:
I tried v8.0.29, the rolling cache file is automatically deleted after click on "start". Thanks!

But the blur images along the border line of PG/3D Vexcel area are still there (see the attached screenshots). Would you please have a look of them and see if it can be resolved or not? Thanks.
