Putting this here so I don't forget to look into it. Offsetting a circle gives an extra loop:

import Diagrams.Prelude
import Diagrams.Backend.Postscript.CmdLine
import Diagrams.TwoD.Offset

d :: Diagram B R2
d = circle 1 # offsetPath 0.1 # stroke

main = mainWith d
