These tutorials assume the developer is on windows. Any chance there will be instructions on how to do this on other platforms, namely MacOS. All of the boiler plate code you have here just doesn't exist because there is no wysiwyg template for the MacOS platform.

Hello @se-augustus Use the dotnet new command to generate the app ...

The topic shows in the .NET Core CLI tab (Overview of Identity section) that you can generate an xplat app from a template with ASP.NET Core Identity with the dotnet new command and the -au|--auth option for either an MVC or Razor Pages app. The topic goes with MVC, but you use the razor template name to get an RP app. More details are available over in the .NET Core docs ...

https://docs.microsoft.com/dotnet/core/tools/dotnet-new

Unfortunately at the moment, this particular topic sample hasn't had it's round of 2.1 updates yet, which are tracked by #5495. Therefore when you generate a template using the dotnet new command today, it won't exactly match what the topic shows. Hopefully, we'll get that topic sample updated fairly soon.
