## Azure Cosmos DB SDK limitations

Some functionality supported by most EF Core database providers are not supported by the Azure Cosmos DB SDK. This includes synchronous APIs.

Beyond the differences in relational and document databases, and limitations in the SDK, the EF Core provider for Azure Cosmos DB NoSQL does not include everything that _could_ be implemented using the combination of EF Core and the Cosmos SDK.
