@jonpryor security compliance requires we have DDoS protection for all CDNs. For various "whoever touched it last is on the hook" reasons, it's on my plate to deal with. And DDoS protection is not possible for anything on an azureedge.net domain (as this domain is tied to a legacy CDN product without DDoS protection capability). The bare blob storage still works, or if a CDN is desired, someone on a more appropriate team can set one up on the new Azure Front Door product which supports the required compliance needs (e.g. download.mono-project.com switched to the new system a week ago) |
