We have seen that CentOS is not on the compatibility list, yet RHEL is. I understand that CentOs 7 is also still supported?

@karelz not here https://github.com/dotnet/core/blob/master/release-notes/3.0/preview/3.0.0-preview2.md the 3.0 preview 2 I suppose that it inherits those of document 3.0

@leecow how do those 2 pages relate to each other? It seems that the Preview 2 page has bunch of distros "merged" together. Maybe we should add link to the supported OS matrix?

The download tables on the Release Notes and the Download page are not meant to be used as a reference for supported distros. That's covered entirely by the docs linked from the OS Lifecycle Policy.

@karelz - Agreed that a link to the os policy will be helpful.

How can I use it in Visual Studio 2017, not Visual Studio Code!?

My issues are resolved now. VS4Mac is on hold for 8.0 Preview, and the SDK is installed and working normally.

Since it requires VS 2019 preview, why isn't this in the visual studio Installer for VS2019 preview. I'm using version 2.0.1184.128 of the visual studio installer.

I'm confused as to where I should report this problem, as it seems to span a couple of different things. I've been trying to play with some C# 8 features (in particular default methods on interfaces), but all of trying to build always results in the standard "interface members cannot have a definition" error. I've already made a report at #2330, but I've since discovered that C# 8.0 features also don't appear to work in VS Mac either (trying to use langversion 800 results in a CS1617 error when building). Where should I report this?
