@rpetrusha Since you are in here revamping this, want to take #9174 into consideration? I had that on my todo for next sprint. I guess you're kind of doing it for the other bug 👍 Probably can just link to it with the fixes text in your original comment.

I've added Fixes, @Thraka. I think that the PR addresses the stylistic complaints in #9174, although it doesn't provide a tool to detect the version.

@rpetrusha Is it possible to make known that there are community provided tools to help detection? Such as https://github.com/EliteLoser/DotNetVersionLister
