Why not run it in debug also?
What about just skipping the test in debug so we don't have to maintain it? |
As we can see, two people have two very different opinions :)), either of your comments needs an agreement first -> lets resolve it outside of this PR. Running in debug would raise a precedence for running everything in debug (and debug compiler running release tests, release compiler running debug tests, ... 4 combinations of everything already).... |

Description
.debug. surface area files are not being exercised in CI (CI only runs in Release), therefore occasional misses can sneak into main.
This fixes them to avoid "false alarms" on feature development.
(if I get a failure in surface area tests, my first suspect is code I changed.
The assumption about main being clean should hold)
