kernel picker not showing aliased name

After a user aliases a sql connection or jupyter kernel connection, the kernel picker should prioritize that label first.
So if I create a connection to an R kernel and name it "R_kernel" the expectation would be to look like this

R_kernel - R (4.2.1)
