@pavelsavara do you think dotnet/runtime#114080 could have affected this benchmark (System.Text.Tests.Perf_Encoding.GetByteCount)? The range of commits is dotnet/runtime@f6ecb6e...027916b and the only affected platform seems to be Mono AOT-llvm arm64.

I can't tell for sure, but I would think that my change would have broader impact if any.

I suspect @lewing's SIMD changes, but I see they are not in the range. But I don't understand how the code flows here either.
