General Usage:
- Please download and run the installer from the main page at www.emudeck.com
- Updates are handled by simply running the install again. You can find the installer on your desktop.
We would urge you not to skip the application of configuration for emulators using expert mode for Emudeck updates, as then you will not have the most up to date configurations. - If you would like to customize your install, please choose Expert mode during the installer.
- We have included a tool to update non-discover store binaries. Use it any time you want to update EmulationStation-DE, Yuzu, SteamRomManager, cemu.exe and xenia.exe(beta, does not work yet!) without rerunning the Emudeck installer.
- Becuse of the way Emudeck works, when you run the install to update things, our configs will be reapplied. Where possible, use Per-game configurations for customization, and that will typically survive an update.
- If you come across something where the configuration seems wrong, please let us know in the github and we can work to add the configuration for future versions.
There will be bugs. Please report them in an issue on the GitHub page.
Setup required: Many emulators require bios files. Generally place them in the Emulation/bios directly with no subfolders. There is an exception with certain RetroArch cores. You can check the retroarch wiki for information about the specific core you are having trouble with.
