You can customize the linter with rules that are more specific to your use case with the ember-template-lint
plugin system.
Plugins can define new rules and set up default configurations that can be extended.
Each plugin object can include these properties.

In order to enable a plugin, you must add it to the plugins
key in your configuration file.
plugins
accepts an array of either plugin objects or strings to be passed to require
which resolve to plugin objects.

Each file that defines a rule should export a class that extends from the base rule object.

You can override the following methods on the base plugin class:

The
visitor
function should return an object that maps Handlebars node types to functions. Whenever the Handlebars parser encounters a particular type of node, any handler function that you define for that node will be called on it. You can reference the Handlebars Compiler API for more detail on the types of nodes and their interfaces.
The base rule also has a few helper functions that can be useful in defining rule behavior:

Report a lint error. The

ember-template-lint
also exports a .match
helper that is useful for defining a given rule's 'target nodes' -- that is, the set of nodes for which it is appropriate to apply the rule's logic.

function match(testNode, ref): boolean
Pattern matches a test node against either an individual reference node OR an Array of reference nodes.
@param {Node} testNode - the node to validate @param {Node|Node[]} ref - the reference node(s) to match testNode against @return {boolean}
An individual comparison returns whether or not the reference node is a strict subset of the test node. Similarly, an Array comparison returns whether or not any one of its individual reference node elements is a strict subset of the test node.
In this context, the reference(s) can be used as selection criteria that a given visited node (test node) must satisfy in order to proceed with rule logic execution.
For simple and specific target patterns, a
match
implementation has clearer and more succinct syntax than its conditional (if
) counterpart because it does the following tasks on behalf of the rule:- asserts the existence of relevant nodes, properties, values, etc.
- compounds the 'AND' logic dictated by a strict multi-comparison matching
As an example, consider a rule designed to ensure that all
