pip can install directly from github -
pip install git+https://github.com/dvska/gdata-python3.git

I'm having trouble installing like this on a virtualenv. I've pip-installed other packages from git with no issues, but this one I can't import. In my virtualenv, it's the only package that is in the directory VIRTUALENV_ROOT/src, and there's also a file in there named pip-delete-this-directory.txt
