@naazy mentioned she enjoyed the Team Outings in: #145 (comment)

We've thought about doing moar team-focussed outings, but simply not had any time to "execute" ... I've specifically thought of doing "YOLO" things:

  • activities that we would not normally do by yourself
  • challenges that take us (way) out of our comfort zone
  • learn how to do something practical/useful like glass-blowing or
  • learn something we've always wanted to do but not had "time". (e.g: magic tricks)

Activity Examples include:

Required:

  • Volunteers to take on the ideation, initial research and proposal of outings including price and proposed date/time.
  • create an issue to discuss each idea/outing

ideally should be fun, family-friendly & free!

Considerations:

  • Not great for inclusion of people who are remote-only ... although we could invite remote people over for meet-n-greet and include them in the Event...?!
  • We don't want to "peer-pressure" people into doing anything (e.g: some people suffer from Acrophobia so the O2 thing would be tough...)

Adding Critical Mass to the list - their website is v basic! On the last Friday of every month starting at Southbank at 7pm ish. So wholesome and fun and great vibez. Dogs, babies, old people, yoots, skaters, cyclists, tricyclists, boom boxes, fun lights, costumes etc. There are no leaders and no pre-planned routes so if you get to the front then you can lead it and take the cyclists to wherever you want 🌀

Id love to propose dodgeball! Its just round the corner in Whitechapel too!
Whether its us vs other teams or just a big DWYL group I imagine it would be so much fun ⭐️
