Removed methods from the ToC where there was little or no additional documentation beyond the parameter types on which the method specializes.
This is a big diff due to moving things around, but there are no other changes in this commit.

Now that definitions are in the table of contents some verbiage can be removed, headings added, content rearranged etc.
