When an app becomes unsupported

Shopify's versioned API becomes unsupported after 12 months. If you create a private Shopify app and don't keep the Webhook API version updated, your client will receive a warning that the private app is unsupported.

Recreating an unsupported app

You'll need to recreate a new private app and update the credentials to use this new app, which is pinned to a newer Webhook API version.
