🎯 Problem Statement
Many users experience emotional distress but feel hesitant to share their thoughts due to fear of judgment or stigma. Currently, TalkHeal only provides AI-based support, which may not fully replace human empathy and shared experiences.
Users lack a safe, anonymous space to connect with others facing similar challenges. This limits community engagement and reduces opportunities for peer encouragement, which is an important part of mental well-being.
💡 Proposed Solution
Introduce an anonymous peer support board where users can share their thoughts, experiences, and encouragement without revealing their identity.
Features:
- Anonymous posting system
- Categorized posts (Stress, Anxiety, Motivation, Recovery, etc.)
- Support reactions (❤️ 🤝 🌱)
- Comment and reply option
- Basic moderation and content filtering
- Report inappropriate content feature
From a user’s perspective, they can easily post, read, and interact in a supportive environment while maintaining privacy.
🔄 Alternatives Considered
A public forum with user profiles was considered, but it may discourage users from sharing sensitive feelings. Private one-on-one chats were also considered but would limit community interaction.
📊 Priority Level
Medium - Would improve workflow
🎭 Use Cases
- A user feeling lonely can anonymously share their thoughts and receive encouragement.
- A recovering user can post motivational messages for others.
- Users can browse supportive content during low-mood periods.
- New users can feel less isolated by reading shared experiences.
📎 Additional Context
Similar features are used in platforms like 7 Cups and Reddit mental health communities. A moderated anonymous board can significantly increase user engagement and emotional support.
