Seems the right action is to update all the license text. Not sure if it matters, but we can pick a time for the update after 0.35 GA and before the 0.36 code split. |
I agree with Peter. Updating to point to the new URL seems like the right path. Timeline sounds fine as well |
Yup, makes complete sense to me too. |

I first updated http://openjdk.java.net/legal/assembly-exception.html to fix all the licenses, and then there were just a few more references to openjdk.java.net in the release notes, which I updated. Modified http to https at the same time. Issue eclipse-openj9#16057 Signed-off-by: Peter Shipton <Peter_Shipton@ca.ibm.com>

OpenJDK has started updating URLs so they refer instead to openjdk.org (see ibmruntimes/openj9-openjdk-jdk@0fe8bef). The old URLs currently redirect to the new domain, but it's unclear how long that will be the case. If there were only a few references in this repository, I would have just opened a pull request, but the copyright notice of most files includes a reference to http://openjdk.java.net/legal/assembly-exception.html, so it seems prudent to discuss what action, if any, we should take.
