Pause button for auto refresh

There are times when Im looking at some data, and I want to pause the refresh interval because I see something interesting I want on the screen a little longer. If I can't get to the refresh interval selector fast enough, I lost what I am looking at and have to go find it again. Perhaps a dropdown would clutter the navbar, but an understated pause button perhaps? When you deactivate the pause button, it simply resumes the refresh.

It would also be cool to pause the auto-refresh when an event is expanded/toggled in the event list.
