It would be cool if we could do something like this:
this.kibanaVersion = `${semver.coerce(kibanaVersion).major}.${semver.coerce(kibanaVersion).minor}.${semver.coerce(kibanaVersion).patch}`
but I'm not sure if it's permissible in public folders.

I thought about using semver for this, but I didn't want to increase the bundle size by adding an external library.
