Most messaging apps, including Element on Android, as well as Signal, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and Instagram DMs, to name a few examples, let you swipe on messaging bubbles to reply.
How would you like to achieve it?

Have you considered any alternatives?
The current implementation works, but it isn't as straightforward to use. It should still be available, but it is not as convenient as a simple swipe.
Additional context
