This is just porting my changes from lerna/lerna-changelog#1159 to this fork 👍
I tested this locally but didn't want to add a fixturify-project style test just to verify this unless you think we could get this mergedI added a basic test, again i didn't feel like now is the right time for fixturify-project style tests 🤔 but we can think about those later if we come across any issues 👍
