These spawn at the base of all tree trunks and can be turned into workbenches with a chisel.

Torch burns in player inventory, when placed as a block, in minecarts (both hopper and chest), in horses/mules/llamas/mules, in chests, furnaces, etc. Only in ender chests and shulker boxes do they stay frozen.

  • Clay Brick

  • Campfire (finite, variable fire)

Turns to ash block when it dies, which disappears and drops an ash item after a while. Fuel can be added to stoke the campfire.

  • Brick Oven

Brick Oven burns longer, but is a lot slower. It cannot be filled with more than one item and fuel.

Hardcore

  • Hardcore Night: Light level at night depends on the moon phase
