Test Process

Normally, signed add-ons are installed into Firefox using the Mozilla add-on website, called AMO. However, when debugging or testing an add-on, the user needs to temporarily install a non-signed version into Firefox.

Here are the steps to install a non-signed add-on temporarily into Firefox:

1. Download the .xpi file from: https://github.com/eric-bixby/auto-sort-bookmarks-webext/releases
2. Enter "about:debugging" into the address bar.
3. Select "This Firefox" on the left side of the page.
4. Select the "Load Temporary Add-on" button (it will not be available when Firefox restarts).
5. Select the downloaded .xpi file.
