There currently already is the tun0.sh segment, due to the following reasons i decided to create a new one:

  • naming, use more general vpn vs tun0
  • make it also work on macOS
  • make it configurable, so we can decide on:
    • symbol/icon (incl. its color) for the segment
    • what to show (nic name, ip, both)
    • symbol/icon for separator (for mode both)
    • which device to show (list of device names or regex patterns, first match gets displayed)
